Captain Pugs is all about dissolving the line between audience and performer. The Captain utilizes clown, bouffon, freestyle spoken word, animation style hip-hop dance, and various circus arts to create an otherworldly experience. With these performance arts in hand he engages the audience, then helps them connect with themselves and eventually with each other. This is in an effort to build stronger community, deepen self-reliance for the individual, and increase folks’ capacity for creative play.
It is Captain Pugs’ belief that we all have a wild creative essence at our core, and now that he’s tapped into his, he strives to show others how to live from that place.
