“Seattle Dj MZ ARTIZ a.k.a. Cristina Ortiz is known for her tribal, Latin House sets, fused with funky jazz. Her sets carry a worldly beat concentrating on percussion and vocals. An active Dj in the Seattle House scene since her debut at See Sound Lounge, Seattle (in the Deep Room) in 2007. Mz ArTiz has played at all the major House Underground local clubs, opening for many of the Seattle local hard-hitters, and inter/national djs alike, (Robby Clark, Manuel Sahagun, Dj Dan, Donald Glaude, Renato Rodriguez, and Stimmhalt).
She is also active in the Burner Community and has played sets for theme camps in Black Rock, Nevada such as her residency Seattle camp, Camp Conception (in which she has her own Latin Night – Cha Cha Bitch), Seattle sister camp Booty Ranch, Portland based Tectonic, and San Francisco’s BAAAHS.
